Who we are

At Elevate & Thrive Together, we believe marriage is a sacred journey—not just something to survive, but something to grow, build, and thrive in. In a world where relationships are often strained, rushed, or disconnected, we come alongside couples to strengthen their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls—so they can become the best version of themselves together.

We are a faith-based movement committed to restoring hope and wholeness in marriages through biblical truth, intentional growth, and Christ-centered community. Whether couples are just beginning their journey or navigating challenging seasons, we provide encouragement, tools, and transformational spaces that elevate relationships to new heights.

Disclaimer

We are not licensed counselors, psychologists, or therapists. While Edward has served in the past as a pastor for over five years and has counseled many couples, our guidance is rooted in over 33 years of personal experience, biblical principles, and training in faith-based programs.

Edward graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies and is now pursuing his Master's degree. Maribell is also pursuing her degree in Biblical studies at Moody Bible Institute.

As biblical coaches and counselors, our role is to come alongside you, offering spiritual encouragement, practical tools, and a Christ-centered perspective on marriage and personal growth. We strongly support and encourage professional counseling and are happy to walk with you in tandem with licensed therapists or mental health professionals as part of a holistic healing journey.

Our Story

Edward & Maribell Rivera

We’ve been married for 33 years and are blessed with five amazing children—four are grown (three married, one single) and our youngest is currently in college. Like many couples, our journey has had its share of highs and heartbreaks. We’ve faced real struggles, walked through seasons of deep hurt, and—by God’s grace—we’ve fought to stay together.

Over the years, we’ve invested intentionally in our marriage: we’ve sought individual and couples counseling, gone through the Soul Care program to better support others in our church, and completed resources like AffairRecovery.com and Hope Restored, not only to heal but to be equipped to walk with other couples. We've read countless books, participated in small groups, and attended many marriage conferences—not because we were experts, but because we knew we needed help.

That’s why we now serve as marriage coaches—not because we’ve mastered it all, but because we’ve survived. We’ve learned to lead with transparency, humility, and faith. Our desire is to help couples elevate and thrive, not through perfection, but by becoming the healthiest version of themselves in Christ, together.

We’re still on the journey. We haven’t “arrived,” but we believe God uses broken vessels to bring healing, and we’re passionate about helping others find hope, strength, and restoration in their own marriages.
